Jordan Martin, M.D. USAP Bio

As an anesthesiologist specially trained in regional anesthesia, including peripheral nerve blocks, epidurals and spinal anesthetics, my clinical practice focuses on surgeries that tend to utilize these types of anesthesia, mainly orthopedic and obstetrical procedures.  Whenever possible, I offer these types of anesthetics to my patients to enhance their recovery and decrease pain after surgical procedures.  In addition to these areas of interest, I also practice general anesthesia.

I serve as the anesthesia representative to the Orthopedic service line at The Medical Center of Aurora as well as the Quality Improvement Committee at Mile High Surgery Center.  I have also developed a specialized protocol for patients undergoing total knee or total hip replacement surgeries at The Medical Center of Aurora to improve their outcome and decrease complications associated with their surgeries.

Outside of anesthesia, I enjoy experiencing all that Colorado has to offer, mainly hiking and skiing with my wife and Great Dane.

Areas of Clinical Interest

I am interested in developing and utilizing clinical pathways designed to improve patient experience and outcomes while decreasing complications during patients' peri-operative period.  I strive to remain on the forefront of regional anesthesia techniques and procedures.
