Jose (Kiko) Jimenez, MD, North Florida USAP Bio

Dr. Jimenez graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine in 1982. 

He completed his internship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Internal Medicine 1983, and subsequently completed his residency at Baylor in 1985. 

He was a Research Associate in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in the fall of 1985. 

Dr. Jimenez completed his second residency at the Washington University School of Medicine’s department of Anesthesiology in 1987. 

He began his medical career at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, where he worked as an Anesthesiologist from 1988 to 1992. 

Dr. Jimenez moved to BMC Beaches in 1992, where has worked as an Anesthesiologist since.  He has also functioned as a locum Anesthesiologist for Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, FL from 2010 to present. 

Dr. Jimenez has worked with JACI/USAP since 2002, and is also affiliated with Ponte Vedra Plastics Surgical Center, Old Moultrie Surgical Center, and Orthopedic Associates of St. Augustine. 

He has extensive management experience, having served as Chief of Section of Anesthesiology, Secretary of Medical Staff, and Chief of Staff at BMC Beaches. 

Dr. Jimenez also sits on the Clinical Quality and Technology Committee, O.R. Block Committee, and Credentials Committee and is the Physician Champion for Quality and Patient Safety. 

He is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologist and Florida Society of Anesthesiologists.
