USAP Nevada Invests in Future of Anesthesia

USAP is committed to investing in our community and healthcare professionals, ensuring stability in a field with growing demand, and advancing racial equity while improving access to medical education and training. USAP works toward these goals by offering scholarships and professional development to students in anesthesia and other areas of healthcare.

In 2020, the USAP-Nevada practice launched a scholarship program in partnership with the UNLV School of Medicine that provides financial support for students in need or who come from historically under-resourced communities.

In July 2023, USAP-Nevada has expanded its scholarship support by partnering with Touro University. The Nevada platform is dedicating a total of $140,000 to Touro University, which will help support eight students over the course of five academic years.

Beyond tuition support, scholarship recipients are connected to a USAP clinician who serves as a mentor and touchpoint throughout the student’s medical training to provide guidance and to answer questions.
