John Baerenstecher, M.D.

John Baerenstecher, M.D is a physician partner of U.S. Anesthesia Partners.

Dr. Baerenstecher is a member of the Executive Committee for the Memorial Hermann Division of USAP in Houston. He is past Chief of Anesthesia at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital (MHMC). He is the current Chairman of the Peer Review Committee at MHMC Hospital and Assistant Medical Director of the Orthopedic Surgery Center at MHMC. In 2019, he also became the Chief of Staff Elect at MHMC Hospital and starting 2020, will be the new Chief of Staff.

Dr. Baerenstecher is a board-certified anesthesiologist. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in Microbiology. He received his Doctorate of Medicine and completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Texas at Houston. He continued on as an assistant professor of anesthesia participating on cardiovascular, liver transplant and neonatal call teams before entering private practice.
