Ed Wilson, MD, Central Florida

G. Edwin Wilson, MD joined JLR Medical Group (JLR) in 1994 after serving as Chief Resident in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Florida. He has interest in physician leadership development, in creating and fostering collaborative workgroups for effective problem-solving, and in enhancing and improving both the patient experience and patient safety. Dr. Wilson served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JLR in 2000-2001 and 2006-2007 while simultaneously holding the office of Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Florida Hospital.

Dr. Wilson recently completed a term as President of the Medical Staff at Florida Hospital – having responsibility for eight hospital campuses and over 2,000 Medical Staff members. He has also served on the Florida Hospital Board of Directors for four years. He currently serves on the USAP Florida Clinical Governance Board.

Dr. Wilson completed medical school at the University of Louisville prior to his anesthesiology residency at the University of Florida.
