Derek Schoppa, M.D., CGB Chair

Derek Schoppa, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and has been practicing for over 25 years.  He is a member of the USAP Board of Directors and Chairs the USAP Clinical Governance Board for both the Houston practice and the state of Texas. He also serves as Chair of the USAP Clinical Operations Committee and is Chief of Anesthesia for Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Schoppa is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
