About Me
I originally hail from Virginia but made my way out to the west coast back in 2018. Years of ICU experience helped form my desire to transition my career into advanced practice, ultimately leading to my role as a Nurse Anesthesiologist. I chose anesthesia because it allows me to work one-on-one with patients to safely and comfortably walk them through the perioperative process. Clear, compassionate communication and patient involvement in the anesthetic plan are the cornerstones of my practice. Surgery can be an intimidating event, but my mission is to allay fear and instill confidence in my patients facing these challenges.
Personal Interests
While I’m new to Seattle, I’ve lived on the west coast since 2018. Since arriving here I’ve become very active at local bouldering gyms. I love to ride my road bike around the area, but confess I’m too chicken to ride in the cold!
Aside from these activities, I’ve recently tried to get back into music. Attempting to teach myself the banjo!
Areas of Clinical Interests
Clinically, I am very interested in the provision of regional anesthesia techniques to provide a more widely-encompassing pain management regimen. Where appropriate, I advocate for its usage to improve the experience and outcomes for my patients. Utilizing these strategies in tandem with other anesthetic techniques
Additionally, I have a passion for providing anesthesia care to those undergoing gender-affirming surgeries—understanding the unique privilege of being including in each patient’s care team.
