Stephanie Yang, M.D., FASA
About Me
In medical school, I was drawn to Anesthesiology because it combines critical thinking and hands-on doing. I find the intense focus on the patient rewarding. During my training at Virginia Mason, in addition to learning general anesthesia, I was privileged to have mentors who were world experts in Regional Anesthesia.
My goal as an anesthesiologist is to provide the safest care, by listening to each patient's concerns and practicing evidence-based medicine. I aim to make the surgical process as comfortable as possible. I believe good communication and teamwork with staff is paramount in achieving excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
I am a Past President of the Washington State Society of Anesthesiologists (WSSA), an organization that takes pride in our decades-long leadership advocating for patient safety. I also served as Chair of the WSSA Education Committee, hosting three Continuing Medical Education meetings every year for practicing anesthesiologists.
Personal Interests
I feel fortunate to call Seattle home! I volunteer my time interviewing local applicants for MIT Admissions. We have a big fluffy elderly dog who we dote on. We wish to have more time for travel adventures and to see more of the world.
